This Dish Is Mostly Prepared From Left Over Idli Or Dosa Batter.

Ingredients For Masala Paniyar


  • 1/2 Kg Idli Or Dosa Batter
  • 1 Heaped Tsp Sambar Powder
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Medium Size Onion Finely Chopped
  • 2 Sprigs Curry Leaves Finely Chopped
  • 2 Table Spoon  Coriander Leaves Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tea Spoon Whole Jeera


No Need Of Adding Salt If Idli Batter Has Been Salted.
Oil For Smearing Paddu Henchu Or Paddu Maker.

Method For Preparing Masala Paniyar:

Mix All Ingredients Well Except Oil. Heat Paddu Maker On Medium Flame. Smear Each Hole With Little Oil. Non Stick Paddu Henchu Will Need Less Oil.
Put 1 Table Spoon Or Little More Batter In Each Hole. Cover And Cook Till Almost Done. Turn It Over And Cook For A Minute. Till Paddu Gets Golden Colour.
Serve With Chutney Of Your Choice. Usually It Can Be Served It With Coconut , Roasted Gram Pudina Chutney.
