The idea behind this recipe is get as many dals as possible for nutrition and channa dal will give the nice color when finally the dish is cooked.


Ingredients for making MULTI GRAIN PADDU WITH HERBS:


  • 1 1/2 cups Rice
  • 1/2 cup Urad Dal
  • 1 handful of toor dal
  • 1 handful of channa dal or Kadlebele
  • 1 handful of moong dal or hesaru bele
  • 1 teaspoon of Menthya orFenugreek.

Method for preparing MULTI GRAIN PADDU WITH HERBS:


Soak for 4-6 hours, grind it and ferment it with pinch of soda.

For masala paddu:

chopped onions
green chillis (optional)
Dil (Sabaske soppu)
salt
jeera
mustard
cilanthro (kottambri).

1. Make paddus with paddu pan/ appe pan.

2. Heat the pan with little oil, pour batter and cook paddus. add little oil before you flip and bake the other side.
