Achari Chicken Preparation Process - Full Recipe in Detail

Ingredients For Making Achari Chicken:
  • One Kilogram Of Chicken
  • Hundred Ml Of Oil
  • Four Tea Spoons Of Fennel Seeds
  • Two Tea Spoons Of Black Mustard Seeds
  • One Tea Spoon Of Fenu Greek Seeds
  • Half Tea Spoon Of Nigella Seeds
  • Two Tea Spoons Of Cumin Seeds
  • Four Ground Onions
  • Eight Chopped Green Chilies Into Small Pieces
  • Two Tea Spoons Of Turmeric Powder
  • Three Tea Spoons Of Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Two Hundred Ml  Of Whipped Curd
  • Three Tea Spoons Of Dry Mango Powder
  • Two Tea Spoons Of Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • Two Tea Spoons Of Sugar.


Method For Preparing Achari Chicken:

Step 1: Heat Oil And Fry Fenu Greek Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Nigella And Cumin Seeds
Step 2: Add Onion Paste, Green Chilies & Stir Fry Till Golden Brown
Step 3: Add Turmeric, Ginger Garlic Paste & Fry For A Minute
Step 4: Add Whipped Curd, Dry Mango And Chili Powder, Sugar And Salt
Step 5: Cook Till Oil Separates And Add Chicken With One fifty ml of Water.
Step 6: Simmer Till Chicken Is Done. Serve Hot.

Nigella seeds are a spice harvested from the plant nigella sativa which is widely grown in india. They are often called onion seeds because they have a slight onion-like smell. They aren’t in any way related to onions, so the two seeds should not be confused. They form the basis for several indian dishes, like pickle and are popular sprinkled on naan.
